January 16 - A pet dog is dead after robbers who broke into the home, doused the poor animal in toxins.
Nancy Sheppard was not at her Michigan home when a person or persons broke in, pouring a mixture of poisonous toxins over her dachshund mix Lucky.
A neighbor noticed that the door to Nancy's home was open and called police who responded.
They found the little dog in his crate, covered in the poisonous mixture, that was also in his food and water bowl.
Police say that the person or persons, stole some coins but other than that, nothing else appears to be missing.
They are currently investigating the incident but do not have any leads at this time.
